The Dhoom Gompa has a following of its own. 8kms away from Darjeeling, you will find a marvelous statue of Maitrayie Buddha here. Rare manuscripts of Buddhism have been preserved here. While in Darjeeling, take a quick trip to Kurseong. This place lies between Darjeeling and Siliguri. If you feel that you need a quiet time as compared to the throbbing vitality of Darjeeling, Kurseong is the place to be. People who visit to watch the third highest peak of the world, Kanchenjunga, in all its splendor must check out the Bhan Bhakta Sarani. The Tiger Hills nestles the Senchal Lake, a premiere picnic spot and also the water supply to the hill station of Darjeeling.
